Marrakech Bachelor & Bachelorette Party Guide
Marrakech Bachelor & Bachelorette Party Guide
Marrakech has overtaken Ibiza and Mykonos as the destination of choice for bachelor and bachelorette groups from France, the UK, and beyond. The formula works: affordable luxury, reliable weather, spectacular nightlife, and a city that naturally provides adventure and stories. Here's how to plan it.
Accommodation: The Villa
The foundation of a Marrakech stag or hen do is the villa. The Palmeraie has dozens of rental villas with private pools, gardens, and space for 8-20 people. The best ones come with a cook, housekeeper, and optional bartender.
Budget range: 3,000-15,000 MAD per night for the whole villa (split between the group, that's 200-1000 MAD per person per night — remarkably affordable for what you get).
What to look for: Pool size (matters more than room count for a stag/hen), kitchen facilities, outdoor dining space, proximity to taxi access, and whether music volume has restrictions (some Palmeraie villas have noise curfews).
Booking: Airbnb works but direct villa agencies offer better service. Book 2-3 months ahead for peak season (April-June, September-October).
Day 1: Arrival & Pool Party
Arrive by early afternoon, settle into the villa, and start the trip with a pool day. Have the cook prepare a Moroccan lunch (tagine, salads, fresh bread). Stock the bar with Casablanca beer, Moroccan wine, and spirits from the Carrefour in Guéliz.
Evening: Rooftop cocktails in the medina (Nomad or a private riad terrace), then dinner at Le Comptoir Darna for the dinner show — belly dancers, live music, festive atmosphere. This is the classic first-night venue for groups.
Day 2: Activities
Bachelor Options
- Quad biking in the Agafay Desert (2-3 hours, 500-800 MAD per person)
- Go-karting at Karting Marrakech (sessions from 200 MAD)
- Paintball or laser tag (several operators, 200-400 MAD per person)
Bachelorette Options
- Hammam & Spa group experience at Les Bains de Marrakech (400-800 MAD per person)
- Cooking class at La Maison Arabe (400-600 MAD per person)
- Souk shopping tour with a private guide (tip-based, plus purchases)
Both
- Atlas Mountain day trip with Berber lunch (private minibus 2000-3000 MAD for the group)
- Camel ride and Agafay sunset (300-500 MAD per person)
- Hot air balloon for the adventurous (2000 MAD per person)
Evening Day 2: The Big Night Out. Start at the villa with pre-drinks. Hire a minibus to Hivernage. Hit Theatro or Lotus Club with a pre-booked VIP table. A bottle of Grey Goose at Theatro runs 2000-4000 MAD. The clubs run until 4-5 AM.
Day 3: Recovery & Departure
Morning: Late breakfast at the villa. Pool time. The cook makes Moroccan crepes (msemen) and fresh orange juice.
Afternoon: Optional gentle activity — a visit to Majorelle Garden, a final souk wander, or simply more pool time.

Important Rules
1. Respect local culture: Marrakech is a Muslim city. What happens in the villa is private; in public spaces, keep behavior appropriate. Drunken public behavior is not just frowned upon — it can result in police attention.
2. Avoid Jemaa el-Fna at night as a large drunk group: The square at night attracts attention you don't want.
3. Use Careem or pre-arrange transport: Don't negotiate with taxi drivers as a large group at 3 AM.
4. Tip the villa staff well: They make your trip. 100-200 MAD per person at the end is appropriate.
5. Stay hydrated: The combination of heat, alcohol, and activities catches many groups off guard.
