Afro house has taken over Marrakech's main rooms since 2023 — Black Coffee, Keinemusik, Bedouin and the Innellea camp all played here. Most big nightclubs now run a Friday or Saturday afro-leaning peak slot from 1am to 4am, with afrobeats added in the warm-up. Marrakech's techno scene is small but has two world-class moments per year: Atlas Electronic in late September (private estate near the Atlas, 2-day camping rave with serious lineups) and Oasis Festival also September (mainstage techno + house at Fellah Hotel). Outside festival weeks, dedicated techno nights are programmed at 555 and Theatro about twice a month. Tech-house is the everyday floor sound at most clubs.

Hip-hop runs Marrakech's prime time slot from 11pm to 1am at most major clubs — current US/UK/MA rap mixed with classic 2000s anthems. The big rooms then tilt afro or commercial after 1am. The 555 is the most rap-loyal venue (rap dominates floor for the full night Thursdays and select Saturdays), Leone runs hip-hop showcase nights ~monthly with French rap guests, and Azar mixes hip-hop with reggaeton.

Marrakech is one of the few global cities where you'll hear an Amr Diab classic seamlessly mixed into a tech-house set at 2am — the city pulls a heavy Gulf, Lebanese, and North African crowd, especially in Eid weeks and summer. Most major nightclubs run dedicated oriental nights, and the dinner-club format (Le Comptoir Darna and similar) features live oriental percussion and belly dance. Mahraganat (Egyptian street rap) gets serious airtime at 555 and Azar.

Deep house is the everyday daytime sound of Marrakech — pool clubs, rooftops, dinner-clubs all tilt deep. The Cercle / Innellea / Keinemusik aesthetic landed in 2022 and never left. The most reliable deep-house programming is at sunset rooftops (DarDar, Pearl, Sky Bar) from 6pm to 11pm, then it transitions to faster house at the major nightclubs.
