This 600-year-old marketplace is a sensory overload of colour, scent, and sound — stalls overflow with hand-dyed leather goods, silk scarves, copper lanterns, Berber carpets, and aromatic spices. The souk branches into specialized sections: Souk des Teinturiers (dyers), Souk Haddadine (blacksmiths), and Souk Cherratine (leatherworkers). Never buy from the first stall — walk the full length first to compare prices. The side alleys off the main drag have better prices and more authentic goods.
