Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. — the father of modern golf course architecture — PalmGolf Marrakech Palmeraie winds through the ancient palmery north of the city, one of the largest date palm groves in the world. The 27-hole layout plays through avenues of towering palms that filter the light into dappled gold on morning rounds, with the High Atlas providing a distant snow-capped backdrop on clear winter days. Jones's characteristic design elements are all present: generous fairways that narrow at landing zones, deep pot bunkers protecting elevated greens, and water hazards on several pivotal holes that demand decision-making. The course plays par 72 over approximately 6,200 meters for the main 18 — accessible enough for mid-handicappers but with enough teeth to challenge low-handicap players. Green fees run 550-700 MAD for 18 holes, dropping to 350-400 MAD for afternoon rates after 2pm. A Golf Academy and driving range on-site makes it popular with beginners and improvement players. Just 20 minutes from the Medina and 5 minutes from most Palmeraie hotels.
